The colt who cost £42,000 was one of three purchases by Anne Cowley at the sale. There was a strong Scandinavian contingency amongst the large number of international buyers at Kempton and Swedish owner Lasse Sjonull went to £36,000 to secure Lot 38 Suirview Stables' Green Desert colt. "Lively trade selling horses to a wide diversification of clients both domestic and international. That sums up today's third renewal of the Goffs Kempton Breeze Up and in the current climate we are delighted with these results. Whilst these figures may not bear direct comparison with last year we live in a different world now and the kind of atmosphere we enjoyed today was lacking from a number of sales last Autumn. There is little doubt that the new Breeze Up Bonus made a significant impact and we would congratulate the instigators of this innovative scheme. - this was a most positive sale and we look forward to congratulating the winners that will inevitably flow in the very near future".
